Here's a brief rundown of what we discussed tonight:
Much of Jackson County's highways are adopted already which is a great thing so we felt pretty lucky to have two different sections available to choose from still. One 2 mile section was on 350 Highway from 83rd Street in Raytown extending into Lee's Summit right before the Colbern Rd./Bannister exit. The other was a 2 mile section was on 40 Highway from just east of Stadium Drive extending to exit 7A from I-70.
By adopting a section of roadway we are making a 3 year commitment to our community that we will do our best to keep that section of the roadways clean. We will be posting more details once all the details have been finalized. For more information regarding MoDOT's Adopt-A-Highway click here.
Future Meetings/Social Happenings
We are planning to get together for drinks at Stuey McBrew's in Lee's Summit later this month to talk to the owner about helping out with their Beard & Moustache contest that they will be hosting during Lee's Summit's Downtown Days on the first weekend in June. We are going to meet on Tuesday March 19th at 6:00. Stuey's is located at 321 Main Street in downtown Lee's Summit.
